What began as a single pub serving the best of British and Kashmiri cuisine has, over eight years, become one of the Midlands’ most recognised hospitality groups. The Farmhouse Restaurant, Maison de Fumeé, and The Farmhouse Bistro are three distinct brands—each with its own identity, audience, and ambition—all built, grown, and managed by Make Me Roar. This is what a long-term creative partnership looks like when it’s done right.
The Farmhouse Restaurant opened in Coventry in 2008 with a bold proposition: a halal dining experience that fused the warmth of British hospitality with the bold, aromatic depth of Kashmiri cuisine. The food was exceptional. The hospitality was genuine. But the brand hadn’t yet caught up with the quality of the experience it was delivering.
When the business came to us over eight years ago, the challenge was as much about vision as it was about execution. The owners had ambitions that stretched well beyond a single restaurant—a rooftop lounge, a bistro concept, and a franchise model—but they needed a creative and strategic partner who could help them build a brand architecture capable of supporting that growth. Each new venture would need its own identity, its own tone, and its own digital presence, while remaining coherent within a broader family of brands. The brief was not simply to make things look better. It was to build a brand ecosystem from the ground up and sustain it for the long term.
We developed the overarching brand strategy and visual identity for The Farmhouse Restaurant, establishing the creative foundations—logo, colour palette, typography, tone of voice, and brand guidelines—that would underpin everything that followed. As the group grew, we extended this work to create distinct but coherent identities for Maison de Fumeé and The Farmhouse Bistro, ensuring each brand could stand alone while clearly belonging to the same family.
We designed and built the websites for all three brands: The Farmhouse Restaurant, Maison de Fumeé, and The Farmhouse Bistro. Each site reflects the individual character and audience of its brand—from the opulent, occasion-led experience of the flagship restaurant to the sophisticated rooftop lounge and the accessible, high-quality bistro now located inside Selfridges Birmingham. All three are managed and updated by Make Me Roar on an ongoing basis.
We produce all printed and digital menu design across the group, ensuring every touchpoint—from the table to the inbox—reflects the quality of the food and the character of the brand. All graphic design, print collateral, and creative assets are produced in-house by our team.
We developed and manage the group’s customer communications, including regular newsletters that keep guests engaged, informed, and returning. We also helped develop their loyalty programme, building a mechanism for repeat visits and long-term customer relationships that goes beyond a single dining experience.
We have developed out-of-home advertising campaigns for the group, extending the brand’s reach beyond digital channels and into the physical environments where their audience lives and moves.
As the business looks to scale The Farmhouse Bistro concept beyond its current locations, we have worked closely with the owners to develop their franchise programme—building the brand standards, operational guidelines, marketing frameworks and SOPs that will allow future bistro locations to launch with the same quality and consistency that has defined the group from the beginning.
Over eight years of partnership with Make Me Roar, The Farmhouse group has achieved:
