We believe that the well-being of our people is paramount, and we strive to achieve the highest standards of health and safety in all aspects of our business. Our health and safety policy is based on the following principles:
- Legal Compliance: We comply with all applicable health and safety legislation, regulations, and codes of practice. We ensure that our operations meet or exceed legal requirements to protect the health, safety, and welfare of our employees and others.
- Risk Assessment and Management: We conduct regular risk assessments to identify potential hazards in the workplace. Based on these assessments, we implement control measures to eliminate or minimise risks to an acceptable level. We provide training and resources to employees to enable them to work safely and contribute to hazard identification and risk management.
- Safety Culture: We promote a safety-first culture where every employee is empowered to prioritise their safety and the safety of others. We encourage open communication, reporting of safety concerns, and active participation in health and safety initiatives.
- Training and Competence: We provide relevant health and safety training to all employees, contractors, and volunteers to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their work safely. We regularly review training needs and provide refresher courses as required.
- Emergency Preparedness: We have procedures in place to respond effectively to emergencies, including fire, accidents, and other incidents. We conduct regular drills and tests of our emergency procedures to ensure readiness and continuous improvement.
- Health and Well-being: We promote the physical and mental well-being of our employees through initiatives that support healthy lifestyles, stress management, and work-life balance. We provide access to resources and support services to promote employee well-being.
- Consultation and Participation: We consult and collaborate with employees and their representatives on health and safety matters. We encourage participation in health and safety committees, regular meetings, and feedback mechanisms to continuously improve our health and safety practices.
- Continuous Improvement: We continually monitor and review our health and safety performance to identify areas for improvement. We set measurable objectives and targets to enhance our health and safety management systems and strive for excellence in health and safety performance.
- Communication and Awareness: We communicate our health and safety policy, procedures, and performance to all stakeholders, including employees, contractors, clients, and visitors. We promote awareness of health and safety responsibilities and encourage a proactive approach to safety.
This Health and Safety Policy Statement reflects our commitment to maintaining a safe and healthy workplace and is endorsed by our management team. We believe that by prioritising health and safety, we can create a positive and productive work environment where everyone can thrive.
